The Polar Bear and the Monstera

Solo exhibition and publication

19 Sep - 27 Sep 2026

Comma Space, Singapore

Installation view

Materialising more than a year after my Arctic residency in spring 2025, the exhibition presents works and writings made through a year-long process of unpacking the experience. The exhibition considers how the residency continues to unfold beyond its physical duration. The trip to the Arctic is not a self-contained experience, and its meaning emerges retrospectively through distance. The question of ‘What does it mean to be in the Arctic?’ thus provides an entry point to a renewed understanding of where we are, before and after.
